There is no doubt that the development plan of new energy automobile industry will bring a brand new and rapidly growing blue ocean market to PCB industry.

Different from the traditional fuel vehicle driving system, the new energy vehicle adopts electric drive, and the electronic control system (MCU, VCU, BMS) will produce PCB alternative increase, with the value of a single-vehicle exceeding RMB 2000. With the further development of automobile in the direction of intelligent and lightweight, automobile PCB will add camera and FPC (flexible circuit board) and other units, and the added value will exceed RMB 1000.

According to an industry expert, the estimated value of a smart pure electric car's PCB will exceed RMB 5,000, which is about 10 times the value of a conventional fuel car's PCB.

With the addition of the onboard multimedia market and automobile after-modification market, the total market size of automobile PCB may exceed RMB 50 billion.

It should be emphasized that automotive PCB has become a competitive place for high-end PCB manufacturers due to its long verification cycle, high entry threshold, and rich gross profit margin. The development plan of the new energy automobile industry has opened up a huge growth space for the printed circuit board (PCB) industry, which will attract more enterprises to enter the competition, and those companies that have already gained the leading edge in automotive electronics will enter into the fast-growing lane.
